On several occasions over recent years, in my everyday hurry through the streets of the centre of Zagreb, I have noticed old and rather dilapidated advertising boxes of the cult movie theatre of the Croatian Cinematheque. The Cinematheque was closed in 2005, as another typical story of economic transition characteristically came to a sad end, but its boxes – in seven locations in the centre – have not been emptied. Last year, probably owing to a missed tram, I stopped in front of one of them, in Zvonimirova Street. Instead of a screening schedule, I found a Wall Display.
